I have may wonderful memories involving music and I am sure that I will add to those happy memories the opportunity to sing with 1800 people again today.
Music has always been an important part of my life. When I was four years old I remember playing my older sister's record "Red Sails on the Sunset" by Pat Boone while she was at school. I began piano lessons when I was nine, starting playing the flute in my school band when I was twleve and sang in school choirs throughout my school years. I met my husband, the love of my life, in our high school acapella choir.
This afternoon the Williamsburg Community Chapel Choir will perform the final Christmas concert, O HOLY NIGHT. Being a part of these concerts will not doubt become one of my memorable choral experiences, possibly ranking second only to singing with a Billy Graham Crusade Choir in Jacksonville Florida. This was one of the last times that Dr. Graham spoke.
May Christ be honored by this concert today.
