Time to plan for 2010 Building Your Business

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential California Realty

I have been working on ways to improve my business next year. My prediction is that it will be another banner year. I plan on continuing some of my good practices, and changing out some of bad practices.

So what will I be doing for 2010? I am looking for some creative ideas. What are you going to be doing to build your business?

I've just written this very post. My newest idea is Seed Planning.

Check out the blog here.

This post is in no way trying to hijack your post.

Take care.

So are you doing anything different in 2010? I like to add something new every year. This year, it will probably be mail campaigns....unless I can come up with something more imaginative, that helps me or my clients.

Hi Joan, I always try to get my agents to meet with me and present their business plan for me to review & HELP them... Most don't.

I would recommend starting with tracking what you've done, average commission, average sales price, # of closings, etc. Track your leads & your closing ratios.  That's the boring part.

Build your database! Either send direct mail with something of value or send e-mails with the same. Call your past clients to touch base. Give memorable closing gifts & follow up like they were your only client...

Just the fact that you have a desire to create a plan & be creative tells me you already are and will continue to be successful!  All my best in 2010!

The boring part is easy...just boring as you say. I started tracking where my business came from a few years back, and the numbers are always interesting. I love knowing who my true fans are, the ones that refer lots of business to me, and I have noticed, that each years stats have their own story to tell.

I actually do sit down with my manager. Even if I have a really good plan, a little review just helps and can add insight.

I am not sure what a memorable closing gift would be...but I do give closing gifts. They differ from year to year. And from person to person.

Joan I've got a 4 part biz plan for agents.  It takes some time and serious thought but it works big if one follows through.  Contact me if you'd like to have a copy of it.  Good Luck!

I always put together a plan too. Is anyone looking at changing their plan? Anything new and creative with the changing market?

Remember that a Dream that you might have is a Plan with a Goal and a Deadline. Write everything down and stick to it. Make it a great week.
