The United States Postal Service estimates over 830 million parcels will pass through the doors nationwide just today. That number is 40 percent more than a normal day.

It's now 11 days until Christmas and many people still have not mailed all of their cards and packages. Many of them are expected to hit the post office today in what is the busiest mail day of the year.

If you want to get your packages to their destination on time and in the cheapest way, they must be here by Wednesday, December 16. December 21 is the deadline for First Class or Priority Mail and the 23rd is the last day for Express mail.

Jeff and Heather, I'm glad we got everything mailed last week. The lines were still long.
