Do you find you are so busy at this time of year you can't think straight? Do you have business appointments, family obligations, dinners, lunches and parties to make time for?
Today in church our pastor had a recliner out on stage with a table, lamp, cup of hot cider, a candy cane and a Snuggy (you know the craze over the blanket with the arms!). He donned the Snuggy (it was a UT one to boot) and settled leisurely in the recliner while expressing to us the need to slow down and make sure we were getting the most out of the holiday season.
I chuckled when he talked about those who are soooooooooo busy with "their importance" with all the events they are going to and places they have to go (and be seen). Their "Puffiness" really gets exaggerated around the holidays.
Some people take things as they come, make time for things they want to do and actually enjoy and understand the meaning of our holidays. Of course, this further aggravates the "Puffy" ones who then turn "Pouty" because they think no one realizes how important they are and can't fathom how others can be relaxed and grateful!
Don't be a Puffy or a Pouty..take time these next 11 days, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds with family and friends. Look around you. Can you see why you should be grateful? We all need to count our blessings.
