Hi Everybody-I had read quite a while back a post I believe Debe Maxwell of Charlotte wrote about posting and dashing. I sure understand that so well right now. For anyone that doesn't know I have been working full time in addition to my VA job so I haven't been doing much commenting and I miss everybody a lot. I have done sporadic posting and I always feel guilty about posting and not commenting.

Mostly what I have posted about is what I have been doing for the homeless vets. This past month I have been mostly sorting, counting,inventorying, writing down what we got and packing those boxes to send to homeless vets across the country. We have done two collections outside a local grocery store and have one more this Saturday. The support has been phenomenal.

Last Saturday we had 2 gaylords(pic attached right) full of all kinds of personal care, canned goods, paper products etc plus a gaylord full of clothing. This past Saturday we did even better and have 3 gaylords full of stuff and one of clothing. I can tell you that you can put a LOT of bags in a gaylord. I feel like I have been on a never ending shopping trip

Here are just a few pics of all the supplies. Some of the last pics came out blurry so I don't know what I did but I think you will get a idea of all the stuff we have collected thus far. It makes me so happy.

So I just want to take the time to write this post to say a HUGE thank YOU to all my loyal supporters and friends who have commented on my posts since mid September since I started working full time and haven't been commenting much on your posts. I apologize so much for that and also that you have continued to support what I have posted. GOD BLESS each and everyone of YOU. You are all very dear and special to me and bring so much to my life. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. <BIG WARM SMILE>

Merry Christmas Sharon. I miss you too, but I certainly realize you are doing what you need to be doing and it sounds like such a rewarding job. Sharon, I am guilty of the same thing...posting and dashing. It can't be helped or I would never post--OR comment. I am subscribed to over 250 people and do what I can but sometimes I get a bit buried on AR. And I've been busy. We are all guilty of the "Post and Dash" at some point, and I use the word "guilty" VERY LOOSELY! If we want to be "active" on Active Rain, sometimes that is what is called for. Clearly you are following a calling that is far more important than catching up on others blogs, so KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, and we will catch you when we can!
