Estes Park Elk Jam

Greetings from Estes Park!

Today on the way back from dropping the boys off at school, I was caught in an "Elk Jam" on Carriage Drive. This is one of those quirky things that makes Estes Park a great place to live...the elk really don't care if you have places to go or things to do...they just keep on being elk. In herds. Big herds. For some reason, they like to stand in the middle of the road and look at cars not going by! Back in Los Angeles, I had a commute that involved more than an hour of traffic to and from work. I'll take an elk jam anyday!

Lisa I would take an elk jam over a traffic jam anyday!  There are so many elk there, do they out-number the people yet??  LOL  They are just beautiful and so fun to see.

Very impressive delay. Nobody around here has an Elk Jam as an excuse for being late... Beautiful sight enjoy your Elk Jam drives.

Hmmm, I thought I was going to be reading a recipe! But, I just love the pictures. That is the best kind of delay. What a great place to live!
