Have you voted for The Gathering Inn in Redemtech's Serious Good Contest yet? Well, please log on to Serious Good Contest as voting will end on Wednesday, December 16th at 8 pm. It doesn't say what time zone so vote early. They could certainly use the 5 refurbished computer packages.
In case you haven't heard, The Gathering Inn is an organization that has partnered with many churches in the Western Placer County area to provide warm, safe places for about 60 homeless people every night. The homeless arrive at The Gathering Inn at 201 Berkeley Ave in Historic Roseville after 3 pm and have the opportunity to take a shower and clean up. They are then transported in the Inn's bus around 6 pm to one of the churches where volunteers have prpared a warm, nutritious meal for them. Shortly after dinner everyone settles down on their mats with their pillow and sleeping bag to read or get some shut eye. When they come to our church they have the option to watch a movie on the TV, however, most settle in for the night as they have to be up, have the room cleaned up and be back to The Gathering Inn by 7 am.
