Have you heard of Boopsie?

Boopsie is said to "create a mobile application in record time". I had betty boopemailed the company to ask about the process, the fee for the use of this mobile technology because the site did not spell out many of the details. Got an email back from Cory H. Van Arsdale who indicated "Right now, we are not developing Boopsie for individual agents, but we are looking for larger offices and interest from any MLS or association.  This is because we need to work with each individual MLS to license and upload data and doing that the first time with an individual agent is not cost effective."

So Cory suggested "if you have or are part of a larger office (50 or more agents), or if you can get your affiliated company or local MLS interested in Boopsie, we can proceed pretty quickly with application development." Check out their site and application.

You can "mobilize" your library, your mls, your anything.

Boopsie claims to mobilizes listings, open houses, agent details and the entire MLS to your fingertips, in real time.

But in rural America with out the mega offices with 50 desks pinning agents to the walls, there is going to be a lot of empty real estate boats lacking representation of the Davids, and only Goliaths doing all the "mobilizing". Makes the smaller real estate agencies thru out the land that are active members of the MLS and local REALTOR boards feel under 44 inches high again. Not able to ride all the real estate rides. I think when a market's high end softens, the meat and potato real rural deals shine thru loud and clear. A home with land for $50,000. What is wrong with it? Nothing...just parked further from the job career centers and realistically priced for the average Joe like you and me. And touched on the different approach and attitude used for urban big population centers/small town rural locations. More and more folks are wanting to get out and away from high crime, elbow to elbow expensive concrete jungle areas where they don't feel safe. The internet helps the small town real estate brokers shine brightly. The carrot is the low low price tag hanging from the chimneys of houses, from the limb on large acreages for little money. Wouldn't you love to have a 300 acre backyard? Can't do that in Manhattan, even if you are Donald Trump or was married to him. The low cost real estate prices in states like Maine are amazing. The word is getting around with blogs like this one you stubled in to. With videos, podcasts and new technology to roll out the information quickly, broadcasting it world wide.

As a follow up, got another email from the company. "In time, eventually Boopsie hopes to see all MLS members have the ability to access real time listings. Our very real issue is the bandwidth to develop each MLS.  Eventually, we will be there and can accommodate each individual request.  If you can get your local MLS interested in developing this application (meaning we can be efficient and do it for the entire area covered by the MLS), then we can proceed."
