The MeMe wagon has hit me again. This time I have been tagged by Becky Troutt and believe it or not it is becoming really hard to think of five things about myself that I would want to share with the public and my Active Rain friends.

Pyramids Of EgyptI have traveled to 6 different countries all on 3 different continents. Asia, Europe, and North America, but my dream is to go to Egypt and see the Pyramids before I die.

Women crying

It is very hard for me to cry. My best friend claims that I have no tear ducts, hahaha.

Rafting

Occasionally my family and I visit my sister-in-law in Grants Pass Oregon and go down the Rogue River rapids. We love to hit Hellgate Canyon and all the whitewater thrills the Rogue has to offer.

Migraine HeadacheI suffer from occasional Migraine Headaches. They consume me when they hit and I have yet to find a medication to take care of the headaches. However, resting in a dark and quiet room seems to help.

reading to childrenI love to read. I think I have passed the love of reading to my children. Just give me an interesting book and you'll probably won't hear or see me for a while. I even volunteered to read to the children one night a week at our local Camarillo library.

My Turn to MeMe three people and they are;

Gabriela Flores: because she lives not too far from me.

Christine Craig: she is another neighbour.

Jill Fuhrer: A strong individual I would like to know more about.

Christopher,When a member in the Rain MeMes another member, the tagged member has to write 5 things about themselves that they are comfortable sharing with the public. Then this tagged member has to tag 3 other members. It's fun.

Hi Mana. Good to learn a little more about you. I too used to suffer from migraines. They would take me down for a couple of hours and all I wanted to do was lay there in the dark and not move. I would just pray for them to go away. They're terrible and I really feel for you. I had them for about 10 years and then suddenly they stopped!!! I haven't had one now in about 10 years. I hope yours stop as well. I'll keep you in my prayers. Folks that haven't suffered from them don't realize how bad they are.

Bruce, Thanks. I am hanging baby.

Sally, Let's see who makes it there first.

Cyndee, Thank you my friend.

Irina, Sounds like we have a few things in common.

Broker Bryant, I hope that happens to me as well. They do take me and my whole family down with them.

Christina, I guess not, but I am done. No more MeMes please.

Mana - What will you tell next time??? (just kidding)  LOVED the part where you want to see the great Pyramids in Egypt. THAT will be amazing when you get there.  I'm not a big crier but there are times when I wish I couldn't because "that" give me a headache!  The story time reading is my favorite.  Anything you can do with your children or for other children with reading is wonderful!!  GREAT REPLIES for another MEME!

I have been down the Rogue River and the Hellsgate Canyon!  And, I have suffered with migraines for nearly 40 yrs. Many of mine are caused by additives. I read a great book about mirgaines (as I am sure you have) but if you'd like the name of the most recent, let me know.

Mana, that was a good MeMe. So sorry to hear about the headaches. They can certainly be debilitating. Sounds like you've been around, huh? Both country-wise and AR wise. Thanks for sharing - again, though I hadn't caught your first MeMe.

Mana,

I think that you are a Meme Magnet!

There's a saying out there, you know.  It goes something like, "JUST SAY NO"!

Seriously though, as long as you're having fun doing them, then MEME AWAY!

Lucky :)

Hi Mana I get Migranes too, and used to suffer from them REGULARLY.  Here are a few things that REALLY help me:

  • Visit the Chiropractor.  I noticed that when I started going because I had a rib out, I had them adjust my neck too. After a few adjustments, I realized thatmy migranes were GONE for almost a year!   Like with anything, adjustments should be done in moderation, but they help SIGNIFICANTLY

Cost: About $40 per visit self pay (once they complete the preminary cost)

  • HEAD ON (Migrane) There are different ones so make SURE you get the one specifically for migranes.  This is some good stuff, and helps knock it out if you use it early enough.

                                                                Cost: about $5

  • Recently I was introduced to 'Wild Tiger Balm' by a client that also suffers from sever migraines. Works pretty good, some potent stuff!  You get this at most Chinese or Health food Herbal Type stores.                                             Cost:  about $1

In my opinion, ALL of these are WELL worth the $... those you get migranes know the pain!

Katrina, Thank you soooooooooo much. Someone else mentioned a chiropractor today. I think I have to look for a new one because my chiropractor has not helped me at all.

Mana I too suffer from migraines. About 16 years ago I spend several hundred dollars on bio-feedback which helped marginally but I also used self-hypnosis and that has helped me greatly. Thank to Katrina for the Wild Tiger Balm suggestion I am going to check that out.

Mana: I don't know if you received the email I sent you last week regarding a book about migraines that I found very helpful, but if not, here it is again.   I've suffered with them for nealy 40 yrs.  I hope this helps.

Take care.

Ashley, I can't believe how many people suffer from migraine headaches and you know what's interesting? we all have different cures or causes.

Kat, Thank you I did and I replied back to your email, but I am so glad you mentioned it here for others to see.

Oh--I am so happy.  Anyway, I didn't get the email--probably something wrong with my end.  Take care and be "headache free!"
