One of the most common real estate marketing tools used today is Top Producer. If you have this system you may have overlooked a powerful advantage for your social media marketing campaign. Most of you already store your contacts in Top Producer--have you connected them with your Facebook profile or Fanpage?? If not--what in the world are you waiting for. Use it to grow your social network! Keep in touch with your Top Producer contacts by inviting them to be a Friend on Facebook. Once they become your friend on Facebook you should then follow up by inviting them to become a Fan. Set up a professional Fan page for your real estate business--once they become a fan this is shared with their network--which could get you new leads!
Here is a step by step guide on how to import your Top Producer contacts into Faceboook:
Begin by exporting your contacts from Top Producer. Here's how:
- In the main menu, go to Contacts and click Search for Contacts
- Choose the criteria you would like to use to find the contacts
- Once you have chosen the criteria to search for your contact click on Search, if you don't select anything in the search, this will show all your contacts
- Check the contacts you would like to export
- Click Export Contacts
- Choose the option Selected Contacts
- Choose Contact record and all addresses and information. Click Export.
- Click Save
- Choose a file location to save the file to.
- Type a name for the file and click Save.
Next, import your contacts into Facebook. Here's how:
- Click on Friends
- Click on Upload contact file
- Check Upload a contact file
- Click Browse
- Highlight the file and click Open
- This will display a list of friends you can invite, follow the on screen instructions to finish inviting them.
