We ate deep dish spinach pizza in the heart of Chicago, and talked for the first time face to face.  From New Hampshire, Chicago and San Francisco, we came together and shared our backgrounds, our home staging business stories, and our hopes for the future. And ladies, Craig is much more handsome in person.

Sue Argue, Craig Schiller, Cindy Lin

Craig Schiller treated Sue Argue and Cindy Lin to a guided tour around Chicago, which was fantastic. If you haven't been to this city in a while, go...it's a friendly, clean and FUN place to visit.

Craig, never wear that hat in Boston, OK? You might get beat up by the Red Sox fans.

Cindy and I tried the local beer, 321 I think it was called, very tasty.

The subject of home staging and Active Rain did come up :)

Craig is well aware that eyes are on his blog and he obviously cares about helping other staging business owners and his own customers.

Active Rain is a fantastic platform and it is working to get home staging's success out there! We're getting referrals from AR.

And we all see this happening: Realtors that team up with home stagers are more successful at selling homes than ones who don't. Same results, coast to coast.

Thank you Craig Schiller for your kindness and hospitality in Chicago. It was a pleasure meeting you both, and I wish us continued success in our businesses :) You can come visit me in NH next time, ski, kayak, hike, lobsters, autumn leaves...

Cheers!

Craig is much cuter in person, this picture and his AR photo don't do those blue eyes any justice at all :)  Hey the waitress did a pretty good job with this photo, yes?

Hi Sue:  I was just getting ready to sign off my computer when I saw your blog come up!  I love Chicago -- it has a lot of great restaurants -- I think the picture came out great.  I am working today with a couple relocating from New York -- Veteran with wife and 3 kids -- I think I am the only one in Real  Estate working today though!  I think it's time to pack it up and get ready to celebrate the 4th!  Happy 4th to you and I am glad Chicago went so well.

Sue, I am so jealous - your meeting looks like so much fun.  I've never been to Chicago but my daughter is going to the Lollapuluzza (spelling is all wrong - sorry) festival in August.  I absolutely agree with your three successful marketing tools.  Great post.  Betty

Did you FAMOUS STAGERS sign the wall? Oprah and Craig both in Chicago, is it the water? Looks like fun! Sue, your message to Realtors is true and as competetive as the business is, there is going to be a surge in demand because this is so true. Good job! (you guys are looking good)

Sue, You little gad about you. I was just thinking this afternoon that I hadn't seen a post from you in a few days. I wondered if you had gone back to the UK or to Europe or the Orient this time. Better yet, you went to Chicago! Thanks for the responsible information. Who is going to Argue with that?

I can not tell you what a nice time it was to talk and share some of "my" Chicago with both Sue and Cindy.

I've said it before and it happened here again... There is something magical about  first meeting in the Rain and then meeting in person. There is a level of connection that is wonderful.

Talking live to both Sue and Cindy was fun and FAST. BOY did we yap...

But thanks aging both of you.

PS: The hat is all about GREAT DESIGN... no one can beat NY's logo. NO ONE!

Craig & I have both been touched (slammed?) by suicide in our immediate families. This is a subject that I keep tucked waaaay down in my gut and do not share. Craig can talk about this subject with an open and forgiving heart that is very rare. I urge all of us touched by suicide to connect with someone who understands. Though tears can be embarrassing in front of a new friend, I thank you Craig, for letting them bubble to the surface and be heard.

Air hug.

Maureen, "great" team?  I have no comment. Remember I live in a 2 baseball team town.

As for suicide...  Sue it still bubbles up for me too. I just don't keep the bubbles down. I share my story because I know others have thier own to share and NEED to share. And I believe the general public needs to know the truth of these tragedies.

PS: Sue here is my post I was telling you about. The Gift of Tears
