So..... there are a ton of homes on the market and your ready to sell. There is one problem, you have Redneck Neighbors. You know what I mean, cars in the yard, four foot tall weeds and trash everywhere. You other neighbors just cry as they drive by as they watch their property values decline.

This situation is becoming more common and I am wondering what creative solutions the real estate professionals here on AR have come up with to help clients in this position?

Easy, just make sure you promote the listing to other rednecks!

Damn.... Rich got here first.  That was my answer.  I have no other answers although I do have a listing where the seller mows the next door neighbors lawn so it doesn't get too high.  Otherwise it wouldn't get cut at all.

Rich and Linda....

Thanks for the comments. Good idea, fire up the lawn mower. Maybe a good agent would even cut the grass. What do you think? Ready to mow some lawns?????

AND A JUNK YARD DOG! ! !

There was a wonderful new home on the market in my area a couple of years ago.  Beautiful home with porch, 1/2 acre yard and priced to sell.  It was a spot lot builder.

Next door was a 60 year old bungelow with ancient roof, trash bags all over the porch, 2-3 old junker cars in the yard, and, YES, a dog barking dog chained to the tree in the front of the house

It took the builder over a year to sell the house at a significantly lower price than originally listed.

Thanks Len and Lenanne for the comments.

The market is getting tough....... I have a feeling a lot of real estate agents are going to be willing to mow lawns, clean windows and maybe some laundry if it gets the house sold!!!!! LOL

Well, I dont know how much you know about cultures, but the picture posted is more of a HillBillie pictures than a Redneck.  BUT Either way, I think your ethics is a little out of kilt if you are what to do about RedNecks next door to a listing.  JMO, Of Course....

Hey, the easiest solution -> market to rednecks! After all, nobody wants to live next door to a redneck more than a redneck!

How do you market to a redneck? Tape flyers to the broken down cars and washers in the yard. Take a few to Wal-Mart...

Gary....

Great idea. Maybe it would be easier to sub-lease space and set-up a branch office in the Walmart.

Has anyone thought of maybe offering that neighbor the use of a huge dumpster roll off?  They have a place to deposit all their junk to be hauled off but have to agree to remove all the debris from the yard.  Cost you about $200.
