Does Newspaper Print Work for You?

By
Education & Training with Mayfield Real Estate Inc. 1999901491

Recently during one of my webinars I asked the students (All real estate agents) these two questions:

  1. Where do you spend most of your money today on advertising?  The photo below shows the results - where nearly 36% (the largest group) invests their hard earned funds on print advertising.

Print Media by Agents

2.  Where Are You Getting the Majority of Your Business Today?

Best Results for Marketing

Interesting, 36% invest more on print advertising, but the same group says they get 0% return on their investment with print advertising.  Most business people looking at this model would agree that it's time to say good-bye to print advertising!  Curious about your thoughts...

OMG print went out a couple of years ago.  It's takes up not even one half page here on Sundays - I don't miss writingn out those big check on tiny bit!

Internet is now and the wave of the future!  We get many leads from the internet (including Active Rain).  That is where most of our energy and time has been invested this past year. It has payed off and I fully expect it will double or more in 2010l.

John - it's great to see you in BananaTude!!  Welcome!!!

John, I stopped using print two years ago and I do over 100 ends a year! I always tracked my costs and where business was coming from and it sure was not the print media!

I stopped doing all print advertising, with the exception of a small handful of classified ads, directing clients to my websites.  95% of my advertising budget is for online advertising and marketing.

In small town markets like mine, we are still stuck paying for print ads. This is because if you don't the Sellers feel you are not marketing their home properly. I have cut way back but cannot eliminated it yet.
