National Employment Trend Rising

The Conference Board's national Employment Trends Index rose again in November for the fourth month in a row. This is great news for the labor market which is still in a severe recession.

Since the revised October figure, the index is up 1.8 percent to 90.8, but remains down by 9.4 percent from a year ago.

With a trillion dollars in the economy that is why they call it stimulus.  The cash for clunkers program depleted inventory, and got hiring back in the factories for a while.  Now buyers have to start buying something that is still made in America other than a fast food burger.  We have to wait and see what really happens in the economy especially in the first half of next year as rates start to rise.
