Carpe Diem( Seize the day) !
Inspiration comes from the darnedest moments sometimes!!!
Our inspiration came today in the midst of the our morning ritual--drinking coffee on the back porch! My husband Jeff has been trying for months to catch a carp using a line with a treble hook and a lump of "dough ball" (Home made bait...we use canned biscuit mix soaked in vanilla then rolled in crushed corn flakes!)
Good God Almighty- We saw the line run and we knew we had him!
I sprinted for the fishing net while Jeff held the line and slowly pulled him in closer so that I could net him.... With three attempts, I got him! Here he is- our Carp that inspired us to Carpe Diem!

Dont worry- he is back in the pond, safe .... look close- do you see his smile ??

I just had the most perfect day on the beach with my husband. We have been busy lately and took the opportunity to Carpe Diem(Sieze the Day) . Emerald Isle beaches are the best therapy!
We just can't say enough about how great we feel after a session with crashing waves, crystal clear water, gentle breezes and the humm of people having a good time. We dozed off a few times, ate lunch I packed earlier and basically recharged our batteries before coming back home. The day is only half over and I am feeling like a new woman!
I have my camera ready for the sunset, fireworks and festivities...but nothing compares to the carp that inspired us this morning to literally Carpe Diem !
Happy 4th to everyone and play hard but stay safe...and certainly take the time to seize your day!
