Horse with confederate soldier and lady in antebellum gown at Colbert Georgia 4th of July ParadeColbert, Georgia in Madison County was the place to be at 9am this 4th of July!  Over 10,000 people were expected to be at the 4th of July parade and festival and I think at least that many showed up!  The parade time was moved from 10am to 9am this year due to the heat and everyone got the word.  Highway 72, East was closed for the duration of the parade through Colbert as everyone lined the streets to see classic cars, septic tank trucks, horses and more!  The parade was huge this year!

Colbert, GA Mayor, John Waggoner, says volunteers to coordinate this festival are getting harder to find so we hope folks keep stepping up as this is a local favorite!

The craft festival was fantastic, as always and featured plenty of pocket books, handmade clay and wood flowers, jewelry, and many more unique items.  Food vendors were on hand with the requisite BBQ, Homemade Lemonade, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Corndogs and even Thai Food this year!

Michelle, this is an amazing post. How are you able to put pictures three across? It sounds like your town is very much like where I live.

Sounds like a great time. That is quite a slide show, it must have taken you hours to put this together.

Hope your 4th was fantastic.

Sandra - use the appearance tab  on the photo upload and set the 1st to "left" and dimensions to about 210 x whatever.  Then space twice, and insert the second - resizing to the same, and repeat - sometimes they still don't show up the way I want them to and I have to play with them a little.

Laurie it was lots of fun, 1 potential seller and an appraisal order today - just for showing up and hanging out!  The slide slow is super simple  - I upload all to one folder from camera and "select all" from the photo album and about 8 minutes later they are all there and all I have to do is add captions where I want them.  Thanks for stopping by!
