Yesterday was July 4th - Independence Day we call it in the U.S.

About 3:30 yesterday afternoon, I checked my blog's statistics.  It said that my profile had been viewed 1776 times.  I couldn't believe it.  (For those of you...although I doubt there are any...who don't know the significance, July 4, 1776, is when the Declaration of Independence was signed.)

Wondering if I might not need corroboration, I called my wife in to view the screen.

What's going on here?  I was raised by Louisiana parents, and while they claimed to not be superstitious, they didn't take any chances.  So they knew and practiced how to keep the unnecessary bad things from happening.  Wish my daddy were here so he could tell me if the 1776 was a good sign or one that now needs to be quickly counteracted, less my luck goes up in flames.

What a monumental year for the U.S.A.!!  Of course it's a good sign!! Take it and run with it...or just smile from behind the curtain!  :-)

Bill, that's a serendipitous sign!  It's also a compliment to your blogging skills that so many people sought to view your profile.

wow, that is amazing, Bill !  And since I don't believe in coincidences, I can only surmise that it is a lucky sign.

have a wonderful and productive day,

Thanks, Susie, Brian and Jo --

I don't know as the number of hits on my profile has as much to do with me being an OK blogger as it probably does that people wonder what kind of nut writes this junk.  Either way, it's ok with me.

And I guess it was a good omen.  I heard from a gentleman this morning whom I had made a listing presentation to over a year ago.  I had mentally written him off.  We're to list his home this afternoon. Wonderful!  Praise God!  (I guess a rabbit didn't run over my grave afterall.)
