E-bay Wannabes

If I'm looking for something and can't find it on Ebay, I'll cruise the up and coming alternative sites. The selection isn't huge, but you can still score great stuff at tag sale prices. Check these out:

OnlineAuction.com, which looks at lot like eBay. Features a little bit of everything, from gadgets to antiques

Bonanzle.com is like a friendly, folksy garage sale. Sellers display jewelry, handbags, clothing and more at virtual booths, chat with customers via IM and hold "bonanzas" where they put all their goods on sale.

eCrater.com has a wide range of "but it now" products--electronics, home and garden supplies, sports gear. Its shopping car lets you buy from different merchants with one click, so checkout's a breeze.

Etsy.com sells handmade goods and vintage items from around the globe, all at fixed prices.

Ebay has come a long way; I thought Amazon was going to be the big one for a long time but I am thinking I was wrong.

Hi Kristin ~ I was an early ebayer - sold full time on it for a year way back when. I've also sold stuff on etsy. And I was a huge garage saler before real estate took over my life. Thanks for the heads up about the other sites - I look forward to checking them out.
