Today is my husband's birthday. Coming up to today, I felt more excited about it than him. Perhaps, it's also because today marks the 1st day of vacation for him for the rest of the year. So, he'll be spending the entire 2 weeks with Boomer and I. It's always a good thing.

This morning has already gone so well. Boomer got up early, came down with his very own hand-made Birthday card and wished his Papa, Happy Birthday! I think that in itself was the gift so sweetly ringing in his eye (the Birthday wish)!

We have a full day of activities planned including my favorite Tiramisu cake from Whole's Food Market.

What a year it has been too. Last year, for Christmas, Boomer gave us the gift of seeing him take his first steps. He just stood up and started walking about the room. That was about 20 feet.

This year, he almost seems like a professional "walker", now cycling on this Radio Flyer tricycle, saying things that could make you laugh. What a year it has been.
