Waking to The Real Estate Lounge Chicago on an Icy Chicago Saturday

The weather? Frightful.

But my obligation was to field phone calls this morning at my office at Clybourn and North. So with the Droid alarm chirping through my cotton-infused pate this morning I made my way southbound to serve as the online expert to house hunters and condo seekers participating in the great experiment called the Chicago real estate market.

Tally? Seems like most folks are sleeping in today.

But an obligation is an obligation. And so as the clock winds down to the next series of appointments I rejoin the conversation that we left off when turkeys were saying their final good-byes.

The point is that it has been nearly one month since last I renewed my side of the monologue. Which inspires me to ask if ever you have noticed the human proclivity to bathe beneath the fountain of "would've, could've, should've"?

I think would've, could've, should've are akin to the idea of "perfection is the enemy of the good." It's a magnet that, when left unbridled, keeps the muller in place.

Don't get me wrong - I am a big fan of contemplation and the manner in which it urges toward right action. But like anything, anything out of measure can lead to unintended effects.

Like not writing here at The Real Estate Lounge Chicago.

I love this venue, sharing my insights about the Chicago real estate market and the relationships this blog has created and strengthened. And when I don't do it, I miss it.

In my defense I have been busy. I have listed several great places recently that include a stunning custom home in Sauganash at 4347 Hollywood, a pair of fully rehabbed two flats with new everything at 5510 N Spaulding and 4555 N Central Park. And I have placed on the market an extraordinary West Loop single floor residence at 1528 W Monroe.

Each parcel is a splendid find. And telling the story of each is my role. One of the ways I seek to achieve this is using current technologies. Let me know what you think...
