It's Snowing in West Chester, PA!!

snow! It's snowing in West Chester, PA! The weather outside is frightful, but my 13 year says it's delightful! His only complaint is that it's not a school day! It is beautiful but what a giant monkey wrench it's throwing into my Christmas shopping schedule!

I woke up to a blanket of snow and the excitement of a hushed snow day. It didn't last long, the hush that is, because shortly after that, everyone else woke up too! The keystone cops routine started with trying to get cars up the driveway and up our street to the store for food we didn't need. I stayed in my jammies while the confusion was sorted out!

I was supposed to work today, I had 6 houses to show but I simply couldn't get my car up the street for my appointment. So now we'll have to reschedule for even closer to Christmas! Not complaining... happy to be working.

I'm a big believer that when life throws you lemons, you make lemonade, so on this particular snow day, I am catching up. I am making a huge pot of soup and baking my Christmas cookies. I may also organize a bit and wrap, but you know what, I may just read too. Uncharacteristically, I haven't opened a novel since the day I left for Atlantic City on 12/8!! I'm starting to miss being lost in a book!

Gary, if you had a facebook you would realize that my best laid plans are now in the sh#tter as they say on Christmas Vacation. I don't have enough flour to bake and it took Jack, Mike and Max 30 minutes to assemble their snow gear to go out and shovel and snow blow.

Hi Susan-We got 8" of snow here and I am at my real estate bosses house babysitting their animals and am snowbound. They are not equipped for the winter weather like NY and PA. You may not want to hear this, but really and truly I'm jealous. Mostly I just hate cold weather and reallyl couldn't live any further north than I do, but just once... just once I'd love to have a white Christmas. I guess I'll just have to go visit someone with one... one of these days.

Hi Susan. What's the snow situation now? I like how you were able to adjust your schedule and accomplish other things in place of the showings today. Gee if you dealt with "low rent" CRUD HUD homes like I do you can just submit the offers online and not go out in the inclement weather! ^_~

Are you over by Philadelphia and are you going to get those large amounts of snow that they have forcasted for the coast from Virginia to NYC?

Stay warm and it sounds like you have a great strategy for this day: BAKING, BOOK, BUBBLE BATH !!!! ^_~

Sharon, I love snow days... I just wish it was after Christmas and not before when I still have so much to do! Merry Christmas!

Tom, good idea! Just took a turn doing the sidewalks so the dog could get out! We've been doing it all day, but the snow keeps falling!

Tammy, It's a white Christmas here for sure!

Bruce, West Chester is about 40 minutes west of Philadelphia and yes, we are getting pummeled. It's beautiful though. Cookies are made, had hot soup and pretty soon,we'll be decorating the tree.

Susan - The snow looks so beautiful. Does the snow put you in the holiday spirit? I have a hard time getting into Christmas without the cold weather but you would think after 20 years living here I will get use to our weather.

Sharon, the snow does look beautiful but I am becoming an old grouch and all I saw yesterday was another day lost when I couldn't go shopping for presents. But I did get my baking done!

Robby, 20 inches! That is impressive! lol! JJ was recently shaved but the snow was even sticking to his short little fur. Poor little fella. Have a very Merry Christmas!
