Zillow and Trulia are more popular than Reatlor.com why?  Maybe it's because consumers can look up values of sold properties in their area.....da.  We can't provide sold information from IDX due to National Association Rules, in the meantime they are over ran by these two websites that provide sold values. I understand why Realtors haven't provided this information, but that time is gone now. Why are we allowing Trulie and Zillow to provide this information why we are sitting on our hands not providing it. If we provide sales information as Realtors Zillow and Trulia would be nothing different from our own websites. It's time all Realtor boards get with the program and start sending out Pending and Sold data in IDX feeds, so that we don't have to compete with an outside company that is providing it.

Jerri, it comes from county records, so I assume tax cards, but I'm not sure if that's try for 100% of communities.

Thanks Raine!  Hmm and I think that info is voluntary on the part of the new owner, at least in Texas it is.  So that would explain why there is so little sold data on their site.  I wonder if it is voluntary in all states?
