Climbing Trees in Cashmere :)

What a wonderful day today was!!  I planned to get up early this morning to begin breakfast. The kids are officially out for the holidays! YEA!!!  Normally, we just do pancakes or waffles on Saturday...but today I wanted to fry some bacon, too. My son especially likes bacon. :)  My goal was to have breakfast served by 8:00, so I could be off and running to the stores before the crowds.  Mrs. Claus wanted to finish her shopping TODAY!! (And she DID! Whew!)

Thankfully, I was out the door by 9:00 and the stores were not too crowded. I went to check out at the first store with a present for my mom, and guess who was in the check-out line up ahead??  My mom and dad!!! That was a first!  I laid her present down in the men's department...and went to give them hugs.  Too funny.  Finished up my shopping at another store, and was back home by 10:45! Yea!!

My daughter had two friends over (twin sisters--a double blessing) at 11:30, and they played, and laughed, and played some more.  I enjoy hearing them belly-laugh together. Just listening to the laughter got me laughing, too!!  Later in the afternoon, they wanted to go to the duck pond, and I tagged along. We went "exploring", fishing, and tree climbing.  One of the girls was cold, so I let her wear my black sweater.

Aren't they the cutest!! As the sun began to decline, so did the temperatures...so we headed home to play a game of LIFE!  Delaney was the clear winner with over a million dollars to her name.  What!? It's 6PM already??!!  We said our goodbyes, and we are thankful for friends with which to share a beautiful, sunny day. We've had a lot of gray days lately...so it has been SO very nice to enjoy the sunshine!!

Hope you all enjoy your holidays with FRIENDS and FAMILY.  As we said our prayers tonight, we thanked God for His goodness to us.  The beautiful fall colors, eyes with which to see them, the warm sun, the blue skies, people who love us, a warm bed, and so much more for which we are thankful!!

Thank you, Melissa! They were having such a good time. I wanted to capture it on camera!

Diane,  memories are a priceless commodity!  I have fond memories of my two when they were little also.  In fact, I need to find out how to get my video tapes transferred over to CD!

Sonja, it definitely sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday...and you also did a great job capturing a Kodak moment in that last pic in the tree! :)
