There are plenty of unexpected things that can come up in the daily life of real estate professionals. Besides beings electronically connected there are a few tools that are handy to have on board in your vehicle when showing and listing properties. Here are just a few for consideration.
- A good quality First Aid Kit. You might want to go further than the run of the mill generic ones that offer little for emergency. Try buying a small fishing tackle box and stuff it full of those things that maybe your personal doctor would suggest.
- A durable and dependable flashlight.
- Extra batteries for your flashlight and for your business camera.
- A throw away camera just in case your good one craters.
- A couple of old towels
- 2 umbrellas...one for your clients, one for you.
- Spray lubricant for stubborn door locks.
- Small tool kit with the basics.
- A 3lb hammer for yard signs.
- A briefcase or good file box for forms you might need in a pinch.
- And in some ares ....insect repellent
- And if you show property in the heat of summer...a spare shirt in the trunk! I actually have run in to this situation here in Texas many times.
- Tape measure
- Compass or GPS devise
