Karen I found the series of photos interesting.  The squirrel reminded me of the time I saw one digging in the snow and I made up a story about it.  My children still think I should turn it into a book  for kids.

I've had to make sure the birds were fed yesterday and today. We've got about the same snow cover as you. Interestingly, I haven't seen a squirrel since it started snowing.
