Twas the Night Before Christmas
And all over the office
Not an offer came through
On a house that was nice.
The buyers were nestled
All snug in their beds
Ignoring the listings
But keeping well fed.
While I in my car
Head to "Open the House"
And wait in the kitchen
But it was quiet as a mouse.
When out on the lawn
There arose such a clatter
I ran through the door
To see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering
Eyes should appear
But an agent and buyer
With an offer to hear.
They spoke many words
And we went straight to work
Not a lowball offer
From a know-it-all jerk.
Laying a finger
On the side of my nose
I added a frig
And the offer, it rose.
And I hear them exclaim
As they drove out of sight
"I just love that house,
For us, it's just right"
