A day with Santa in New Milford, CT.
The cold didn't keep the kids away, they braved freezing temperatures to see the big man himself! A good time was had by all, despite the cold temps and blowing winds. After visiting with Santa Claus kids and adults alike piled into the hay wagon for a ride around the New Milford Village Green. The horses were spectacular this year, 2 beautiful (and playful) Percherons from Utopia Percherons in Goshen, CT.
Thank you Bill and Brad Camp from Housatonic Valley Insurance on the Green, who joined Prudential Adams & Associates in sponsoring the event. Bill and his wife handed out hot chocolate and helped everyone on to the wagon. Brad Camp manned the barricades.
Santa promised me he would be back next year, so if you missed him this time around you can look forward to next years event!
Andrea...
What a wonderful event with just a few days left until Christmas!
Marchel, it was fun, and cold cold cold. But we all had a good time!
Donna, we actually got a small amount of snow in western CT, and I was happy about that. If we had gotten what the rest of the state got Santa would have had to stay home, and no hay rides. Thanks!
Ann, it was both those things, LOL.
Richard, it is always a pleasure for us to do. The kids are great with Santa. I had a great time, then our office party get together is after the hayride, so it is a double fun day!
Glad to see you've got a respectable amount of snow to make it Christmasy in Connecticut! What little we had has been rained away this weekend...
Hi Andrea,
What a nice set of photos capturing the holiday spirit. And the town looks beautiful and festive gorgeous with all the snow. I hear the new storm is heading northward. How much snow are you expecting in New Milford?
Andrea . . . I was waiting for your blog -- I just KNEW you'd have some snow pictures, which would allow me to stay inside and stay warm, yet get the feel of the season!! THANKS!
Hi Andrea-What gorgeous pics you captured. I love them. I also love the slideshow. How did you do it? You are doing so very well with your photography. I always enjoy them immensely. Great job my friend. Have a great week. <SMILE>
Janna, we dodged the bullet with this past storm in Western CT. We are usually the ones who get slammed, but not this time. So it was only an inch or 2, but it blew around like crazy! I see we may get snow/rain on Christmas day.
William, thank you! I had to add the photo of my grandson having a fit, LOL. Another satisfied customer I say! The kids really had a wonderful time despite the frigid temps. And as far as the next storm, I am not sure about totals predicted, and it may rain too. All on Christmas day. :(
Carla, why thank you, I am so happy you enjoyed them! Glad I could help you get in the spirit of things.
Sharon, thank you. I use Picasa, very easy to use. Check it out! It is a google account that I have, and I downloaded the Picasa program just for fun too. Although you don't need the program to use Picasa online. Very self explanatory I might add.
The pictures are great it looks like magic in the air in Milford! Merry Christmas.
Hi Diane, Merry Christmas to you too! The kids are like magic, and they all had that "look" when seeing both Santa Claus and the horses!
Loooks like a fun filling day in this community dispite the cold weather. Thanks for sharing
