Here in the great northwest, we get a lot of gray days. Not as much rain as the myths and legends, but a lot of days that are cloudy and cool. So, when the sun comes out, watch out! Northwesterner's are out doing stuff! Really, when the sun comes out in the summer, there are few places as beautiful as western Washington and Oregon, as well as northwestern California. And we have beautiful bodies of water to boat and fish on, great golf courses, fabulous hiking and climbing, rivers to float, jogging to do (to burn off the hibernation blubber), country roads to drive, yards to enjoy, restaurant decks to hang out on, and on and on.
So, when you get a day like today, not a cloud in the sky and 90 degrees, expect to leave a lot of messages. Very few of us are sitting in the office like me!
I would imagine that it's kind of like when it rains in drier climates. Rain is no big deal to a northwesterner, but sun is! In a dry climate, sun is no big deal, but when it rains, watch out!
Anyway, fellow northwesterners, I hope you enjoy the sun.
