12 Comments on Want To Die? ~ Text and Drive!
I heard a commercial on the radio saying texting while driving was as dangerous as driving after having something like 6 drinks.
I saw a bumper sticker that said "honk if you love Jesus, text and drive if you want to meet him"
Dorie, I couldn't agree more. There is nothing more dangerous than texting and driving. Even today amidst the fallout of the huge snow fall, people are driving along snow bound streets yapping away on their cell phones.
Wow that is a good bumper sticker! I haven't seen that one!
Hi Robert,
I have heard the same thing. I listened to someone who counted from 1-10! Think about having your eyes off the road and your mind distracted for that long!!
Hi Craig,
It amazes me how people can't wait until getting out from behind the wheel to talk..nothing is that important. Especially now with so many people on the road we need to keep focused on our driving!
Too many people are doing it, thinking they are still under control (too many people feel the same way about drinking and driving). It will take an accident or worse to get people to realize just how dangerous it really is. I think the right thing is happening where the laws are getting stricter so that people will not do it just to avoid the fines.

Dorie, Living where I do, there is a lack of internet and phone service - so generally no talking on the cell or texting would work--- still, in town, I cannot imagine trying to do that and drive in traffic, it's just idiotic! I like the bumper sticker, it's very true.
Cool timely post Dorie. I almost got sideswiped twice yesterday by some gal oblivious to her surroundings. Yes, that car must have run cell phone minutes or hot air...
Helping you live your American dream. Merry Christmas...
David,
I will be driving down the road in the morning and see a young gal blow drying her hair, smoking a cigarette and drinking a bottle of water buy we are all humid and we re trying to drive!! Multitasking gone too far!!
Hi Mary!
It is idiotic! But everyone fron the youngest driver to the odest are involved with doin it! It's not smart!!
Hi Michael,
Everyday I encounter a textig driver and it almost a accident waiting to happen. It's sad but true.
