Through the Lens: Perspectives of California. Featuring the black & white
photographs of Jeff Hopwood and color photographs of Jan Livingston. Show
extended to January 10, 2010.


December 21st and ongoing - Bambi Papais at the Harbinger Gallery - The Harbinger Gallery is featuring
Bambi's colorful and extremely detailed illustrations of the sierra flora and fauna mixed with her own unique whimsy
this holiday season. This year Bambi will be offering new original watercolors, limited prints, framed posters, boxed
cards, and other affordable gifts. The exhibit will run through January 4, 2010.

December 21st and ongoing - Expressive Oil Painting, published by North Light Books, is loaded with big, colorful
images, but it's not about the author. It is about how you can paint better paintings - how you can express your
deepest feelings for Nature. Local artist George Durkee's new book is complete and ready for you to purchase for
yourself or someone you know. You can read purchase signed copies directly from the author at the Art Gallery in

December 21st and ongoing - Ironstone Vineyards Museum - Benitoite Exhibit, presented by local winemaker,
Brett Keller. This is an awesome collection of our very own official California Gem Stone, found only in California. They
are stunning blue crystals in their natural rock formations. Brett has put together a very educational presentation of
these rare stones that would be of interest to any California Native as well as rock hounds and the curious. Exhibit runs
through February. Also available in the Heritage Museum, Ironstone has a Limited number of Christmas CDs available
featuring the Alhambra Pipe Organ as performed by Pipe organ master, Walter Strony. They are available for $10 each
while supply lasts. Also in the Heritage Museum, the newly published "Into the Earth, A Wine Cave Renaissance" by
Daniel D'Agostini. This is a stunning coffee table book loaded with breathtaking photos.

December 26, 2009 - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge on Saturday
mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum across from the Murphys Hotel. Please contact Bob
Buchanan at 209-728-3517 to confirm that there will be a walking tour (always a good idea) or to set up a tour for a group of 12 or more.

Call to Artists! Entry forms are available for Ironstone's 13th annual Spring Obsession Art Show and Sale. Theme Division
"An Obsession of Daffodils" (to tie in with the National Daffodil Convention) are due January 8th. 2010 and the Open
Division Entries are due February 5th. 2010. Open division is any subject matter, any media with a $1000 first prize, $500
second prize and $250 third prize. Theme Division winner awarded $500.00 prize and becomes the poster for the year
2010. Art work must be original, cannot have been exhibited at Ironstone in the past, must be for sale and 2-dimensional.
