Panera Bread -- Lots of Wonderful Pastries and Meals

I have to tell you about a great spot to go for bakery goods, snacks or meals -- Panera Bread.

Panera Bread

I reminds me of a Europeon bakery in that it has sweets like chocolate filled crossiants and croissants folded in the middle with a bed of cheese and two apricots sticking out the ends.  They have breakfast  dishes such as egg casaroles and egg sandwiches, but my favorite sandwich is the Turkey Artichoke sandwich.  They have this menu option called the "You pick two" where you can choose 2 items out of sandwiches, salads and soups.  My favorite ½ Turkey Artichoke sandwich and the Classic Cafe Salad. Yum!!!

Holiday Bread

My trip to Panera this time is for the Holiday Bread, which is like a coffee cake, but with apple and cherry pie filling in it and the the cake batter has chocolate chips in it, then the whole thing is baked and then covered with icing and brown sugar.  It is heavenly heated up on a pan in the toaster oven with a cup of hot tea or coffee.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sounds yummy, I haven't gained enough weight this year to meet my quota, so I'll be running there tomorrow for the turkey and artichoke sandwich!!

Merry Christmas Liz!

PS. I'll be in Kingwood for Christmas, traveling from San Antonio, looking forward to a visit to your area.

Panera is all over the place and they are consistent with what they serve.  Which reminds me I should go buy some Panacotta for Christmas french toast.

Hey Melissa, I will be away for the holiday, but hope to meet you next time you are in town.

Hey Pat, panacotta french toast sounds decadent.

My mouth is salivating on culinary overload.

Hey Russel, the holiday bread is really wonderful.  I meant to tell you what a cute picture of Zoey that stamp is -- just adorable.  Did you pose her like that?  Do you have a Santa hat for her?  That would be cute.

Hi Liz ~ Panera Bread is one of my favorite places to eat when I am visiting CA.  Don't have any in our neck of the woods just yet.
