It is now officially nostalgic Christmas time for me! Here is yet one more Christmas memory that really tugs at my heart strings, and I found this on YouTube. Here is my Aunt Carol (at the time Carol Richards) with Bing Crosby singing Silver Bells. Aunt Carol died in 2007, makes this all the more special to me to have found this on YouTube, knowing that people still listen to her.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
Andrea - how wonderful that such a terrific Christmas song has such special meaning for you :o)
May you remember all the fun things about Aunt Carol throughout the Holidays and beyond !
Merry Christmas Andrea !
Andrea:
What a precious memento to have of your aunt. She was very talented.
Cathy, it is very precious to me, I lived with my aunt and uncle for a time, so I have lots of memories. And Christmas isn't complete until I hear this song. I lost my Bing CD :(. I was very happy to find it on YouTube though!
Jason, one time I was showing a house to some guys, this came on the radio, I mentioned it was my aunt, and HE KNEW HER! He worked with her in Hollywood, can you imagine?
Shel, thank you, and Merry Christmas to you too!
Claudette, she had a beautiful voice, that's for sure. Very very talented.

Andrea, I love old Christmas song, too. I would be just as thrilled as you if it was my aunt sang this with Bing Crosby. Merry Christmas to you!
Andrea such a great song and to know that your Aunt recorded it with Bing Crosby. Are there any other secrets in those closets of yours? Is your Russian husband maybe a descendant of the Romanov's? Inquiring minds want to know!
How cool is this - what a gorgeous voice she had - wow! It's always been one of my favorites during the holidays. Merry Christmas!
Hi Hannah, glad I could bring you those memories! I love all those movies, and this song is one of my favorites! And you have a wonderful holiday too, Merry Christmas!
Margaret, I was going to use that one, but the quality of the song itself was not as clear. I did like that one better though!
Rita, how sweet you are, thank you! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Janna, that I didn't know. My aunt was friends with him, I remember his son stayed with us for a few weeks, but he was in his 30's at the time. That is too cool, go get pictures for us, LOL.
Gary, well thank you. It really just makes Christmas complete and yet makes me a bit on the misty eyed side every time I hear the song.
Ed, of course I have more secrets, LOL. He is not from the Romanov family, but he is from a very famous ballet family! And thank you.
Matt, glad you enjoyed the song. Nope, you can't get much more Christmas than that!
Anna, she did have a beautiful voice, thank you. I am happy to hear that it is one of you favorites! Merry Christmas!
Hi Andrea ~ That is too cool! You never cease to amaze me. Your aunt had a lovely voice - and the perfect name to accompany her talent! Merry Christmas.
Liz
George, she was the singing voice over for Syd Charisse and Vera Ellen in a few movies and was on The Lucy Show, and who knows what else I have forgotten. She was always singing and humming her way through life!
Hi Liz, well, glad I amaze you! (I think, LOL) Merry Christmas!
Andrea, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas filled with joy and wonder - and yes even a little nostalgia can be heart-warming, too.
Merry Christmas to you and your family and best wishes for the new year!
