As a business owner, you know that getting your name to page one on that search engine results page is one of the most sought after goals.  One of the best ways to improve search engine rankings is by Blogging.  When you use keywords in your blog consistently, you are driving more and more consumers back to your website.  As a page one success story ourselves, RealSupport has the knowledge and experience to get you the best results possible.   Here are a few tips we’d like to share:

Post Consistently
We recommend posting at least 1x per week.  Your Real Estate Virtual Assistant can write AND post to your blog as often as you would like.  Of course, if there is anything you happen to come across that you want to personally write about, feel free!  Read more about this strategy in our blog post about how blogging can improve your search engine rankings!

New Listing Blog Post = GREAT idea
Let your blog serve as yet another avenue to advertise your new listings.  This step to can be included in your new listing marketing efforts.  While your at it, may as well announce your price reductions and boast about your solds!  Just another way to show off your expertise as a real estate professional.

Your Blog Should (Automatically) Syndicate to Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn

Yes, you should have a link to your blog on any and all social networking websites, your email signature and website.  You should also have your Real Estate Virtual Assistant setup your blog so it auto syndicates to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.  With this syndication, each blog post is instantly fed to your social networking websites, exposing your friends, fans , connections and potential clients to the invaluable information you’ve just posted.

Mention Your Blog on Your Website
We recommend adding a graphical button linking to your blog on at least one page of your website.   This also adds a personal touch to your website beyond your “About Me” page.  It’s a great way for your clients and potential customers to get to know you.  Website information can get out-dated, but your blog will always stay current as long as you are following our guidelines.  Some websites even allow for a live feed of your blog so your most recent posts show on your home page.  Ask your Real Estate Virtual Assistant to help you determine the best way to advertise your blog.

Consistency is KEY
Blogging consistently is KEY to better search engine rankings.  Discuss your desired key words you’re your Real Estate Virtual Assistant so they can incorporate them into your blog and link them back to your website.  Can’t or don’t want to wrap your head around all of this?  Delegate it to your Real Estate Virtual Assistant TODAY!

Jen- I kindly and respectfully disagree to post 1x per week. If you are not posting at least 3 to 5 x per week and you are a new blogger- you are not going to get your phone to ring with buyers and sellers. I post 10x per week and I write my own stuff.

It is important to add your own personality. A VA can post your listings as posts and can post general neighborhood info but anything more than that, will only appear to be phoney or robotic. Blogging is not about announcements it is about relationships.

If you auto post your posts to Twitter, you need to also be paying it forward on Twitter. Twitter will do NADA for you in fact you will be dissed on Twitter if all you do is auto post notifications of your blog posts. That community is all about paying it forward and helping others not yourself. Self promotion is fine sprinkled inbetween but not the major focus. Far better results you will get for announcing other people's blog posts, not your own. Katerina

I suppose the "proof is in the pudding", so to speak. We have had great success posting CONSISTENLY 1x per week for our clients - but of course recommend posting more often if your schedule allows. We have had personal success with this as well, bringing our website up to page 1 and 2 on google in 8 months, simply from blogging (using our strategies of course)!

RealSupport ABSOLUTELY agrees it is SO important to include personality in blog posts. We always mimic our clients writing style and "flavor" so to speak when posting for clients. We never post stock posts, and they are always relevant to the clients specific community and interests. While we do suggest posting announcements, (like listings), we do not recommend that replace your other postings, which are personal!

I suppose I can post another time about all the ways to utilize Twitter, as that is another subject for another time, but I do agree with you there, it is not enough to just post your own blogs (although I feel that is important as well).

I am new to ActiveRain but to do all this don't you have to pay to forward to other social sites?  Lots to learn.

Thanks,

Linda
