Will it be a White Christmas 2009 in Northern Arizona??

Well Christmas is almost upon us.

Here in Payson the idea of a White Christmas is swirling in our heads. Today around 3;00pm it started to snow... and snow.. BIG snow flakes.

I know that it is pretty typical for most of the country to get snow especially around the Holidays... But for Payson, its rare that Payson gets much at all. We are in the heart of Arizona and usually its areas just a lil ways north like Pine, Strawberry, Happy Jack and further north that tend to get the tip of the snow-storm.  So I think I speak for most of Payson where I hope that this year Santa will send us a nice snow so we can actually have a White Christmas, and really live those Christmas Songs about jack-frost nipping at your nose and chest-nuts roasting on an open fire.

As for this Picture, I know its not great quality, but I took it at about 4:00pm on my way out of town TODAY.  The snow is coming down, travel times are extended because of the slippery roads and windy circumstances.  Just thought I would share.
