Tip #22:  Shop Craigslist

Just about anything you might need can be found on Craigslist.  But you might be thinking, what's green about Craigslist?  The answer, you will be "recycling" a gift.

Also, most likely the gift will now have packaging that will end up in the landfill, and the seller will be local which will cut down on the carbon footprint and cost of shipping.

Hi John~  I never really thought about craigslist for shopping for presents!  Too bad I am through for this year, but maybe next year....

I use Craigslist al ot for purchasing and selling items. You can't beat the advertising expense! Sometimes you run into flakes though.
