Many of you have likely received an annoucement from NAR, introducing their new website HouseLogic.com. We thought we would give you a brief overview of what this new site is and how you can use it!

HouseLogic is there to help people become the most responsible homeowner they can be. HouseLogic just wants to provide free information and tools to help people make smart decisions about their home.

• It is a pretty neat site to recommend to clients after they have bought a home. (Will not directly benefit you their REALTOR).
• HouseLogic is simply a free source of information and tools that can help people make smart and timely decisions about their home. 
• It gives tips for fixing up your house and to get the fix-ups done better, cheaper and faster.
• There is a community on the site where people can share ideas and tips with others.
• They have checklists and to-do's and calculators to show people how to save on certain items. Like if you replace your light bulbs with CFLs you save $X amount per month/year.
• There is a calendar set up to receive reminders on to-do's and deadlines.
• There is also a system that will keep track of all the updates you have done to your house and how the improvement will grow.

Bottom Line: If you recommend this site to your clients, they can see how they can increase their home value so when they go to sell their home (with you of course) they get more bang for their buck! Which then you will profit from. This site could also act as a good way to stay in contact with your buyers - who will then lead to future sellers (hopefully:).

So is this site necessary for you to use? Not really - but it is an extra bonus to share with your clients!
