One of the first tasks I hoped to figure out with my new HP Tablet PC was how to use it's Infra Red port and a Palm or Windows Mobile Emulator to use it as a lockbox key with Supra.  Supra claims this isn't possible, but I have not given up yet.  I downloaded a Palm emulator, but I couldn't figure out how to have it let me download to it to expand the use.

Now, I am in the process of trying a Windows based version.

If anyone has had success with emulators, I would appreciate a quick lesson.  My computer is running Windows 7.

Thanks!

Jim -

I am by no means an emulator guru.  But, I bet you can make it work.  People underestimate just how much these things can do.

Joel, you are absolutely correct. People don't realize their PDA's have more computing power than the initial Apollo spacecrafts compliments of the "rocket scientists" at NASA at the time!

I have had discussions with people at HP encouraging them to reconsider having a "business line" and a "personal line" of computers both priced under $1000!  A five year old top of the line "business computer" can be replaced with a mid range personal computer today!  My new personal Tablet from HP which I paid under $850 for delivered runs circles around my $2500 Desktop top end business unit from four years ago!

If they still shipped them with full functioning software instead of 30 or 60 day trials, their business model would still make sense.

So far no luck on this project, but I haven't given up yet.

My nephew helped me realize that the emulator may not be able to see how to power the Infra Red.  For example, if you had a stereo emulator in your car to recognize your Ipod, you still probably could't use it to use your power windows or locks.

Immediately remove all combination boxes - before the sellers learn of the liability of having them on their property - and replace them with Supra electronic boxes

Just got an e-mail from our local board.

After months of horror stories regarding combination lock boxes, the RAMB Residential Board has voted to initiate a campaign telling sellers they should immediately have any combination lock boxes removed from their property and replaced with Supra electronic boxes.Public Campaign:  The public will be informed of the liability and dangers of combination lock boxes and the security of Supra electronic boxes.  The public campaign will also tell buyers to be sure to work with RAMB MEMBERS who have Supra electronic keys for more access to more properties - and sellers to sell their homes faster.

Agents:  Immediately remove all combination boxes - before the sellers learn of the liability of having them on their property - and replace them with Supra electronic boxes.  This is the official advance notice to RAMB Members before the public campaign begins.

Brokers & Managers:  Please contact your agents to make sure they take action ASAP.  This liability must be eliminated for you, your agents and your sellers.

What should we do? Remove all combination boxes ?
