Home for sale  Well that's my question.  According to the Flint Journal on Thursday 6-28-07   full article is here

They say that the City of Flint is losing population due to urban sprawl.  Yes everyone wants to live in the outskirts where the grass is greener. Prestigious  Grand Blanc Township gained 5,556 new residents since 2000  yet it also was the 3rd highest in Foreclosure filings. hmmm.  What about Clio, more country living,  101 new residents and had 19 filings in April.

So I ask.... where are these people going.  Granted the filings were only 46 in Grand Blanc zip code 48439  for the month of April. Lets pretend it's 46 a month.  (I'm sure it's not,  but for my math skills we are going with that)  46x12= 552 a year.

These people are not moving back to the rental market.  Our rental market stinks. Heck even landlords here are looking for jobs.  They are not moving back to Flint.  Are they moving to Wyoming, like alot of the builders did?  Have they gone to Alaska where policeman are being paid twice what they are here.  You did see where Alaska headhunters actually came to Flint, right?  Oh where oh where has everyone gone?

Every day I see more and more homes for sale and legal filings on doors.  In Flint, Swartz Creek, Grand Blanc, Montrose it doesn't matter.

Seriously will the last person out of Michigan turn off the light and let us know where everyone went ?
