My mom, who is 70, probably surfs the Internet more than anyone I know, including me. She's always letting me know about stuff that she thinks could help me in my real estate career, and her most recent email is no exception.
She has found several web sites that are not only good for that last minute Christmas shopper looking for a customized gift, but these web sites look like they could be of great use throughout the year for that very special close-of-escrow gift to our Clients. Check them out:
-
stamps.com - make customized postage stamps using pictures of you, your Clients, your Clients new home, etc.
-
zazzle.com - another place to make customized postage stamps, as well as clothes, mugs, skateboards, shoes, mouse pads, pet clothes, bumper stickers....
-
blurb.com - customize photos and art books. You have full creative control here with their free downloadable software.
-
tastebook.com - create a personalized cookbook in just minutes.
-
cafepress.com - customized water bottles for those open houses; calendars, mugs, t-shirts, pet clothes, ornaments, even, uh, underwear
-
bluenile.com - customized jewelry
-
scrapblog.com - make your own hardcover scrapbook in seconds
-
spreadshirt.com - extremely large selection of apparel to personalize. Yep, underwear, too.
-
DNA 11 - DNA as art! DNA 11 sends you a DNA collection kit to swab the inside of your cheek and send it back to them. They then analyze the sample, and create a large photo or poster of your DNA. Just $200 to $1,000. I did see where the co-founder has a DNA portrait of his pet beagle. Maybe Zoey the Cool Cat would like this.

Maybe not.
Many of these sites create your personalized gift online, but if they have to do the printing, such as with apparel, many of them ship within 24 hours.
