Merry Christmoose from Red Lodge, Montana

A few days ago, I posted "Merry Christmas from Red Lodge, Montana" but after the comments that I received, it looks like Christmas would not be as merry as it is suppose to be without some moose photos.  So I decided to go on another moose chase, not of an actual moose like in "Moose Monday - Big Bull Moose in Big Sky Country!" but for moose objects in the town of Red Lodge.

If you like moose stories and photos, be sure to join the Moose Monday group.  You don't need to run into an actual moose to participate.   This post is an example of moose photos you can post to this group if you happen to live in a city where actual moose appearances are rare or non-existent.

Here are the moosely photos I was able to capture on this other kind of moose chase.  Enjoy!

Peace Moose

First and foremost, wishing for Peace in the world.  This peace moose was displayed in the window at Red Raven.

Moosely Tees - red Lodge, Montana

A very cool looking moose at Moosely Tees.  You can find a great selection of Red Lodge T-shirts in here!

The Pollard Hotel - Red Lodge, Montana

The Pollard Hotel.   Great lodging, great food, great service!   It was the hotel I stayed in when I first visited Red Lodge and it sure added to my moosely positive experience of Red Lodge.

Moose planter - Red Lodge, Montana

A permanent moose right outside the door!

Red Lodge Books - Red Lodge, Montana

A moose-have book!  You can find it or order it online at Red Lodge Books.  For some other interesting moose books, just click here (you will not be disappointed with the variety of books on this topic for both adults and kids with nice titles such as: Looking for a Moose, A Chocolate Moose for Dinner, Moose on the Loose, Moose Tracks, Put the Moose on the Table: Lessons in Leadership from a CEOs Journey Through Business and Life, Mr. Jefferson and the Giant Moose: Natural History in Early America, etc.)

I Moose Eat - CC Legends, Red Lodge, Montana

A reminder to eat lots of good foods in company of friends and family.  This was displayed in the window of CC Legends.

A cute plush toy - Wild Within, Red Lodge, Montana

Make sure to give plenty of hugs to all the loved ones in your life when you see them.  This cute and huggable moose was displayed in the window at Wild Within.

Two Bull Moose made of Juniper wood - Rocky Fork Juniper, Red Lodge, Montana

And I leave you with a photo of two bulll moose (I would imagine to be very rare to capture two real ones in a photo) standing in front of Rocky Fork Juniper, a very unique and elegant handcrafted furniture place!

I hope you enjoyed this different kind of moose chase.   :)

Merry Christmoose!

Merry Christmoose from Red Lodge, Montana

Please note that there is more to Red Lodge than moose and actual moose appearances in town are far apart but a special and hard to describe delight when they happen.   But since I realized the moosely positive reception that my photos have received here on AR, I am very happy at ActiveRain to share moosely fun photo posts.

Liz,

Objects and decorations in a form of a moose are here and there and unlike the actual moose, you can find one if you really look for them.  :)

Gerry, among all the other wonderful moosely pix, that is a GREAT mailbox!  :)  Hope you had a very merry Christmoose!

Shoshana,

I did have a very merry Christmoose and I had a great dinner at my friend's place (the same one with whom I celebrated the first day of Hanukkah with).

I think I may have confused you to think it is a mailbox (in photo #4) by having added my name on it rather than on one of the corners of the photo.   I believe it is a planter but it is a pretty sight right in front of the house located in town.  If you haven't tried it, you can get some additional details about each photo when you put your cursor on it.   :)

Gerry - It simply wouldn't be Christmoos without a Red Lodge photo from you.  Did you stand under the mooseltoe?  I know it's a tradition to do so in Alaska!

I like your moose mailbox. I just hope the mooses don't mistake it for another moose and try to mate with it. LOL

Best wishes for health, happiness, peace, and prosperity in 2010, and beyond.

Happy Holidays!

Myrl,

No mooseletoe to stand under but nevertheless lots of holiday hugs and kisses.   Thank you for the nice and funny comment.

Jim,

It is not a moose mailbox but a moose planter.  I think it is much smaller in size than the bull moose that I have been lucky enough to see in Red Lodge.   Thank you for the wishes.     I like the Zoey the Cool Cat holiday photo.

Gerry the front of your house has great moose appeal.  It looks like a log home?  Did you build it?
