After a few weeks of letting a few others join in on the fun of reviewing Mortgage Related posts, I figured I would get back on the horse with some new information and some new people to review.  Remember this post is dedicated to Mortgage Professionals writing about Mortgages.  Maybe over the next 3 weeks we can inspire a Realtor to write one of these!  Thanks to Leah Ross for filling in last week!

HOMEWORK TIME!!

Man was it hard finding posts this week to add here... why??? There were only 22 posts this week TAGGED with Mortgage.

Lesson #1 rehashed - Posting on ActiveRain needs to include topics that actually related to your own industry!  It is up to us Mortgage Professionals to educate Consumers AND our fellow Real Estate Professionals.

Lesson #2 - you can't find a mortgage post if you don't tag it with mortgage!  I can't say I'm always the best at following this advice but just start doing it and you'll increase your SEO!

David.. I am just now getting around to some of these posts because I have been on vaca all week and just came back from the beach. I am tired....

But in regards to these posts, thanks for doing this, because I just counted and there are 5 of them that I have missed. Thanks for sharing these and the tip about the tag word mortgage. I am going to check mine after this comment. And thanks for the mention, I appreciate it. And you did a great job with this. And I gave it a 5 and I flagged it since it wasn't featured yet.

I am guilty as well at not tagging and/or providing as much Mortgage Material for consumers and the rest of the industry as well.  That said, I've read the majority of these posts and there is some quality stuff here.  Good job and great reminders David.

Hi David - another week of some great highlighted posts.  I like that the week in review is being done for the mortgage folks here on AR.  I suspect many of the posts written by the lenders here often get overlooked.  And with some of them being highlighted like this, hopefully more are being seen and read.

Nicely done!
Ann

Jason - so write one for next week!

Colleen - thanks!!

Thesa - thank you... I agree and more than anything I felt the mortgage people need a kick in the arses to get them to stop writing about parades and dog toys and start writing about money...

Ann - I think so to... I think we all believe the topics are either too complicated or too dry... like reading an instruction manual - but I feel that the ones that get highlighted each week are approachable, well thought out and properly directed to the audience.  I'm also a stickler when it comes to formatting and keeping off tangents...

Chris - thanks! welcome to the rain!

Some very good selections and thanks for the notice. Advertising compliance is something I get a lot of questions about. I'm honored you found it helpful.

Cyndee - thanks!!

Tony - It was a very helpful piece... compliance is a pain in our arses and we can never forget that it has to be followed in our advertisements... too bad the big names don't always play fair!

Neal... THANKS!  And I agree... Leah is better looking than a whole lot of us put together.  Going to Sellsius in SoBe?
