My blogs don't allow anonymous comments by members or by the general public. Yet he cowardly have found a way to slither into my posts by doing something to circumvent the anonymous lockbox so to speak...
Instead of typing their real name they'll type a few words or even a short phrase. Here are some actual examples:
"Gimme a break
Irritated Consumer
idiot poster
stupid Realtor
puzzled and confused"
If you don't have the courage to leave your name, you should keep your fingers off the keyboard. It suggest that you want to hide behind your noise because you know you as a person you surely don't have the strength to represent the comments you just displayed.
The flip side might be anonymity. The difference is that most anonymous posters leave childish or insulting comments that typically have very little merit if any at all.
The second type of coward is the Active Rain member who uses bogus names/phrases to support their comment and/or blog. I see this the most. It's always obvious because the suspect {supporting comment} usually comes RIGHT after the original comment.
I won't respond to coward comments and will consistently delete them from my postsand think we should all do the same to be honest. I'd further like the opportunity to require a commenter to provide a working email address. It's like giving a fan access to the game with a free bullhorn, but without ticket verification.
