I ordered Gary Keller's book after being bribed by Bob Stewart. On the one hand I was not very hyped with the contest, which was not a contest per se, but more like a marketing ploy.
On the other hand, It was a reason to read Gary's book, and after reading his Millionaire Real Estate Agent I had nothing against reading 'Shift', his next one. (You can purchase the book by going to http://giftofshift.com/activerain). And also try to write for points but try to make it not boring to death.
I am still reading, and it will take me some time. It is not something scientific, it is not something that should be an academic course on modern real estate and planning for graduate students, but it is something that should be a must read for those who enter the field, or who are in the field and need to make a step back and cast a look at their routine.
Because it is not about the cutting edge science, but it is about common sense. A common sense that helps us better see where we are and helps us get to where we want to be. It is basically the tool to understand where we want to be in the first place.
Because we may think we know where we want to be, but we may be wrong. And maybe we are moving, but with no GPS...
In life we are affected with so many things. Clichés and prejudices, habits and routines, trainers and experts. Life is not Black & White... it is multi-dimensional, and there is something we all need to stay on our feet - common sense. And Gary Keller has it. A lot of it.
And the best way to absorb it, is to take a book on a cruise and enjoy it. Where to go? Does not really matter... you will be busy reading (LOL)
Hey, why on a cruise? Why pay so much money if it even does not matter where to go?
Because being not able to use your cell phone for one week is priceless. Plus things are simple on a cruise, it is a place where KISS means what it is suppose to mean, and not Keep It Simple, Stupid!
You will come fresh, invigorated, and ready to face the future. And what about a kiss? Oh, it is work in progress on your relationship. Common sense tells you that it is important... Basically, you might want to start with it.
A Happy New Year, my friends
