Healthcare Reform for All (Payment Reform)

Ok guys if it's good enough for us it's good enough for them.  Fleming is from Louisiana's Fourth Congressional District.  Too many active rainers don't want to talk politics on their blogs but this one will effect us all eventually.  No matter where you stand on politics.

HR 615

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a
two-page amendment, courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn which would require
all Members of Congress and their staff members to enroll in any new
government-run health plan.

Congressman John Fleming has proposed an amendment that would
require Congressmen and Senators to take the same health care plan that they
would force on us. (Under proposed legislation they are exempt.)

Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go to his Website and
sign his petition. The process is very simple. I have done just that at:
http://fleming.house.gov/index.html

Senator Coburn and Congressman Fleming are both physicians.
Regardless of your political beliefs, it sure seems reasonable that Congress
should have exactly the same medical coverage that they impose on the rest
of us.

John,

Thank you for this blog!  I keep saying ... "If it's good enough for me, then it's good enough for our Senators/VP/Pres..... all of government!!!!"

John good job in posting this issue. The President ran on a platform of the same coverage for all. So why not have us all on their plan. I think we need health care form. So why all the fighting on both sides. Let us all be equal and happy.

Oh, they do not want to have the health care that they are shoving down our throats? How nice. Tells a lot about the health care that we are going to get.

What is that: either you are a senator, or you are dead?

xxxxxxxxxxxxx, you got zapped. The real picture is that they are not us. They want to be a little better as they think they are smarter.

I will be signing it!  The "elite" will never pass it though.  obama would never put himself and his family under the "panel" (call it what you will, their mandate according to both bills is to cut medical costs...and YES that means services, medicine and care).  Further this panel will not be accountable "to the people".  The corrupt in the senate have made them untouchable, and therefore UNACCOUNTABLE for their actions.  Everyone should be worried about a group with incentives to cut your care, but you can't fire them.
