Last year around Christmas time I wrote about how every year we take the kids to Santa's Secret Wonderland in Little Falls, New Jersey. That's been part of our family holiday tradition since we bought our first house and had our first child in Little Falls, New Jersey about 10 1/2 years ago.
Unfortunately, we didn't get there before Christmas this year because my oldest came down with pneumonia but just the other night I finally got a chance to take my younger two children. As we turned down Williams Street they were so excited as they saw those bright white Christmas lights lighting up the whole block.
This is the first time in 10 years that I've been there without seeing Santa Claus and without my oldest son, but Santa had gone back to the North Pole since Christmas was over and my oldest still wasn't feeling to well. The kids were a bit disappointed in not seeing Santa but they were still in awe of the Christmas music, moving train sets and all those tiny lit up villages in the garage. Beyond the decorated white picket fence and dazzling lights, is a Nativity set, Christmas trees, and much, much more.
So even after moving from our first house in Little Falls, New Jersey to the West Essex Community of Fairfield, New Jersey, 7 1/2 years ago, Santa's Secret Wonderland in Little Falls is still part of my family's holiday tradition.
