Great way to honor your friend's memory!
Fantastic idea Stacey-Ann! I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
That's a great idea. You've inspired me to follow suit although initially, I'll have to make smaller contributions. This is a super way to help those in my community who can use my financial help.
Andrea - thanks
Mary - same to you
Tom - great. I would love to hear about it when you implement it.
Stacey,
This is awesome! I was just thinking about this last night and now I will have to take action. I am going find the right charity and put my blog up in the next few weeks. Thanks for the inspiration!
Brian - I'll look forward to your blog. Consider the Angie Houtz Memorial Fund when looking for a great local charity. She was a Charles County native.
What an awesome way to give back Stacey-Ann. May your 2010 be so plentiful you can really make a difference for these charities.
Ellie - I hope so too. Same to you by the way.
Stacey-Ann - Oh how I wish I'd come across your post at the begining of the year!! You are leading by example and I will be following your lead asap. Thank you for showing us the way to pay it forward.
Susan - Better late than never. I look forward to hearing all about how you implement this.
Hi Stacey,
I'm thrilled to see your charitable involvements and the motivation you're creating for others to jump on the bandwagon.
I took the charitable plunge, myself, about 2 years ago to help a struggling Children's Theatrical Arts Center stay afloat. I offered a substantial cash contribution from the close of escrow for transactions involving patrons, spurring ticket sales as well providing financial relief. The charity found me, actually.
This time around, I'll be changing the criterion to target a more needy beneficiary.
A Psychologist/Realtor. Fascinating combination!

Brian - I look forward to hearing about your charity efforts too.
