What questions should I ask at my blogging class?

I am attending the Blog Tour USA stop in Denver with some well known, respected bloggers, and they have asked us what we want to learn in our educational session.

Help me out here everyone...I have a list of things I would like to know, but I am sure there are lots of things that I don't even know that I need to know! At the risk of sounding really stupid, here are a few at the top of my list.

Trackbacks. I know it is a link from one blog to another, but how do I do it? Do I click on the trackback link for the blog I am posting on or one that I am quoting from? I think it is the latter, but I have no clue how they work! Do I copy and paste it or is it automatic?

Friends in Facebook and Linkedin. Social bookmarking is what I am told I need to do. What good does it do me to have friends and why should I care?

RSS feeds. I use Google reader for my feeds, and to add a blog feed, I go to Google reader and type in the URL of the blog. What happens if I click on the RSS feed logo on the blog I want to subscribe to? Does it come into Google reader, my email or somewhere else?

How do I know who or how many are subscribed to my blog?(not AR, but my other blog) I have heard that feedburner will tell you, but what do I have to do to get it to do that?

What happens if I click on all the little logos at the bottom of the blog posts? What does it mean to "Digg" someone? I know it is a way of saying that you like that post, but again, why should I care?

Technorati has "authority ratings" for blogs and mine is up to a 9 (from a big 0 not long ago) but what is good and what is not? How do they determine the ranking? And why should I care? Algebra

Sometimes I feel like I am taking a trigonometry class but I haven't had algebra yet. It seems like I know the basic arithmetic, and I am gradually figuring out the newer terms, but I missed out on the important knowledge in the middle that would make the things I am learning now more understandable.

I felt this way when I switched schools and the school I came from had not yet taught us the metric system. The new one I went to had already learned it and assumed I knew it. Metric measurements are a failing of mine still.

What other questions should I be asking? What would you like to know?

That's a great start on the questions. What about the questions we don't even know enough to ask?

I'd also like to know about tracking subscribers.
How do I create charts that I can include on my blog?
What is the biggest lesson they have learned that has made the biggest difference in their blogging?
What do they see next on the horizon that will take blogging to the next level?
What devices do they recommend to stay connected? PDA, iphone, etc.

I'm sure I'll think of more, but that is a good start with all of the questions you already have listed. Thanks Joanne.

John, I just added you as an associate (ie: friend) so yes, now I do have you!

Jennifer, I think we need 3 days! A couple of hours will just be enough to let us know what we don't know. I need to add "mybloglog" to the list. My web designer didn't want to put their link on my site as she said it is just a tracking device, and she is right, it is, but I think I should probably have it anyway. It is another social bookmarking site as near as I can tell.

HOLY TEST ANXIETY!!! I feel like I just sat through an midterm from college when I didn't really know the material and didn't study (enough) either! YIKES!! I've bookmarked this one and will be back for the EDUCATION 102 Class when you get a chance to report on it. WOW!!!

Now I am feeling the pressure! ;-) I think the educational part is only an hour or so, but I get to ask questions and talk to lots of people for a couple of hours. A bunch of Colorado people are going, so I expect you will see lots of posts about it.
