smoke

On April 3rd of this year, the Burbank City Council voted to adopt the proposed second hand smoke ordinance.  If you are a smoker you can still smoke in the City of Burbank, just not at certain locations.  The intent of this ordinance is to limit second hand smoke for non smokers.

What this means to you is that if you are a smoker you can no longer smoke at venues such as Starbucks.  If you are a non-smoker it means you have more places where you can enjoy the outdoors without worry of encountering second hand smoke.

If you would like more information about this ordinance, please visit this link to get the facts!

Ana- People who smoke just don't realize how nasty it is to be next to them.. I hate going to Vegas because of the smoke. and rarely go to the Strip any more..

The state of Ohio passed a law like that. It went into effect in January and deals with all public and private business. Last week there was a news story about the unforeseen repercussions and the effect that it had on some places that may be closing.

Kaye-I hear you!  I'm a former smoker and while I did not realize it when I smoked.  It's not until you quit that you see how nasty it is.

James-We're going through the same thing here, there is actually one Starbucks in particular who's outdoor biz has dropped off dramatically.

thank you both for commenting!
