Well I did it. I paid for another year with my local Association of Realtors. Quite inconvenient at this time of year, I know, but it had to be done sooner or later ( at least before the end of January) and I could not sign up for classes until after paying the piper. As I told you all last year, our local Association includes a $75 charge for continuing education in our dues which entitles us to take many classes through the board for that low fee. As I am up for license renewal, I have some hours to put in and I want to have my choice of classes and not be sitting at the computer for 22.5 hours next August to meet the deadline. So I am closing out my year planning next year's education and finalizing goals for my business for the next 12 months.
Taking classes and meeting with other real estate professionals is not just about CE hours. It is about the energy that is created when you have to THINK. I like to mix up my educational experiences. I take the classes at the local board for my continuing ed credits cause it is easy to keep track of them for the state. I also plan to attend a few local events such as the Associations Expo in the spring. Then I have signed up for RainCamp NYC on January 12th to kick off the new year with a burst of energy. I will add some other events and my local Womens Council of Realtors meetings to the mix. But I find the best source of information and energy comes right here from my daily dose of ActiveRain. Just as writing Blogs and commenting on the posts of others here in the Rain gives me so much information.
So as you complete next year's plan to include mixing it up in 2010. Include time for cruising the blogs for information and a few laughs. Get out of that office and share with others in the physical world too by participating in classes and events. The reward will be the energy you need to keep working towards all of your business goals.
