Built in 1914 the Manassas, VA Railroad Depot still operates serving both Amtrak and Virginia Railway Express commuter trains. A portion of the interior has been faithfully preserved as a museum. It also houses the offices of Historic Manassas.
As you may know, Manassas played a key role in the "War BetweenThe States" with two significant battles and also as a key rail junction vital to the movement of troops and supplies
The photos below are snapshots of old photos hanging on the interior walls of the depot. I enjoy the one of commuters from "the old days" standing on the platform waiting for the train just as they do today. Notice the men all wearing fedoras.
